Spring 2019 Food Drive

This March, the brothers of the Epsilon Eta chapter partnered with the Hope 7 Food pantry in Troy to raise food for families who are in need. Together, we were able to 669 pounds of food for the food bank. This event’s success would not have been possible without the organization and execution from Christopher Reed, our High Theta, and all of the brothers who assisted with the tag distribution and food collection!

Brothers raised over $4,900 for Relay For Life!

This year's Relay For Life was a huge success for Lambda Chi Alpha. The brothers were able to raise upwards of $4,900 in the annual event. We achieved our goal by holding events such as Lambda Chai, Fat Sandwiches, and from generous donations from our brothers. Our team's success wouldn't be possible without the dedication from Thomas Gall, our High Theta, and all of the brothers who helped fund raise and participated in the event. Hopefully next year we can raise even more for the fight against cancer!

Yuda Bands to Support Edson Chinyangana

The Brothers of Epsilon Eta are selling Yuda Bands to support sending Edson Chinyangana to school. Each band costs 7 dollars and all proceeds will go directly towards his education.

Edson Chinyanganya is a boy raised in Africa by a single mother alsong with 2 other siblings. His mother is currently unemployed and his family earns very little money. The entire family lives in one room and his mother cannot continue to pay for Edson's education. Edson aspires to be a doctor when he grows up and loves to play cricket and soccer in the little spare time that he has as well as go to church.

If you would like to support Edson but cannot make it to purchase a bracelet on campus, you can donate using the link below.

On February 25th brothers held our second annual Fat Sandwiches event at the house where we made Fat Sandwiches to sell to the local community. We we're able to raise a total of $1322 in just under 3 hours of selling sandwiches! The Fat Brandon was the highest selling sandwich, selling a total of 47 sandwiches, and a total of 154 sandwiches were sold all together! Thanks to Evan Schulze for planning the event and all of the other brothers who helped to cook food, make sandwiches, deliver them, and supported the event.

All of the money raised was donated to Relay for Life putting our chapter at a total of $3489 and pushing us into first place on campus ahead of The Relay Committee ($1894) and Alpha Gamma Delta ($1220). Relay for Life Fundraising

Every year Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute hosts a Relay for Life walk in the Armory. Lambda Chi Alpha has been a part of this relay for many years and hosts various events throughout the semester to raise money for the American Cancer Society. This year the brothers of Lambda Chi Alpha have planned on bringing back many of those past events. Our weekly event to help raise money is called "Lambda Cocoa" where free hot chocolate is given out to students in return for donations to our relay for life total.  In addition to this, the brothers plan to bring back the very successful "Fat Sandwiches" philanthropy event from the Spring 2016 semester. This event raised over $1000 for cancer research in a short 2 hours. Two separate dates are being planned for this event with an increased supply of food and more volunteers to help raise money. In addition to these events, brothers will be canning outside stores, raising money on their own, and a host of other things in order to raise money for the American Cancer Society. Help us reach our Goal of $6000 this year by donating below!
