EHZ Recognized by the LXA Office of Administration for Outstanding Accomplishments in 2023

We are proud to announce that Epsilon-Eta has received two awards from the Lambda Chi Alpha Office of Administration (OoA) for the year of 2023!

The first- the Lewis A. Plourd Fraternity education award, presented to the top 3 Chapters in the International Fraternity “whose outstanding Fraternity Education Program includes the entire membership, involves alumni, and incorporates a highly effective Big Brother program” (OoA website).

“The Epsilon-Eta fraternity education program aims to develop members that will act as true brothers of Lambda Chi while informing these members on the history of the house. By understanding the past, we can see the work that was done to get the house to where it is now. This shows members what the basic duties of being a member of Lambda Chi are, and with external activities we show new members how they can execute this lifestyle on a daily basis. The program aims to instill young men with a mindset of continuous self-improvement, developing into well rounded brothers who will benefit both the house and society as a whole” - Ben Sasso, 2023 High Kappa.

The second - the Bruce A. McIntosh Standards for Chapter Excellence, given to the top 3 chapters in the International Fraternity which have a uniquely refined chapter operation and managerial structure.

“In our application, we highlighted how we consistently recruit well despite RPI being a challenging climate for Greek life. We discussed how we differentiate ourselves from other fraternities on campus by upholding Lambda Chi’s values in the face of adversity. A credential which set us apart from other Lambda Chi chapters was our locally developed Paedogogus, the Green Book, and our involvement of alumni Roger Grice and Johnson Samuel in the new member education process. Overall, our chapter maintains an excellent organizational structure with strong traditions, and I’m proud of all our active brothers who made it possible for us to achieve this award” - Carl Steffens, 2023 High Alpha.

We would like to thank the Office of Administration for the recognition and our dedicated alumni volunteers who have helped uphold our chapter’s excellence for years!
